Pedagogist | Montessori and Early Years Consultant | Trainer | Montessori Educator

Laura Perfetti is a Montessori Educator, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist, Trainer, and
Early Years Consultant with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education.
Holding a BA in Early Childhood Studies and a Master’s degree in Pedagogy, she has
worked across Montessori nurseries in London and Africa and now trains future practitioners
within higher education and professional development contexts.
Her practice is rooted in a child-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on Educare to
support children’s holistic development, emotional regulation, and meaningful learning. She
is deeply committed to working in partnership with parents and supporting children through
co-regulation and relational pedagogy.
Laura previously managed a nursery where she created a nurturing Montessori environment
alongside an innovative on-site co-working space for parents. This unique model
strengthened parent–child relationships and fostered a vibrant learning community. In this
role, she led staff training, delivered parent workshops, offered consultations on children’s
development, and mentored students — cultivating reflective, confident educators.
Laura conducts workshops and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions on
various topics, including:
– Working in partnership with parents
– Self-regulation and co-regulation
– Emotional development in early childhood
– Montessori-aligned relational practices
– Creativity
– Various aspects of child development and developmental milestones
In the past, Laura has collaborated on writing blog posts covering some of these topics.
Additionally, she provides parent coaching and offers Montessori-at-home packages to help
families better understand and address their child’s developmental needs. A regular speaker
at webinars in the UK and internationally and professional conferences, Laura continues to
advocate for collaborative, community-based approaches to early childhood education.
In recognition of her impact, she received the Best UK Parental Engagement Award at the
NMT Nursery Awards (2022).
Passionate about the Montessori philosophy, Laura champions strong connections between
educators, parents, and children to create environments where every child can truly thrive
