Funding

Many of our students are self funders, and its great to see them investing in themselves. However, not everyone is in a position to do this, or the decision is much harder, having to balance priorities when it comes to spending income.

There are some opportunities for external funding, detailed here:

Employer Sponsored Training

If you’re employed, your employer might be open to covering or subsidising your training costs. Investing in staff development benefits both the employee and the organisation by enhancing skills and improving performance. Discuss the advantages of our courses with your employer, and we can provide details to support your request.

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a unique opportunity to earn while you learn, combining hands-on experience in your chosen field with at least 20% of your working hours dedicated to classroom-based learning. This blend of practical and academic training leads to a nationally recognised qualification, with learning provided through colleges, universities, or specialised training providers like the London School of Childcare Studies.

Loans

As well as funding, other options to help with training costs include loans. Aside from personal loans with financial institutions, the government provides preferential loan funding to help pay for education

Advanced Learner Loans

Available to anyone aged 19 and over at the start of their course, Advanced Learner Loans can be used to fund courses at Levels 3, 4, 5, or 6. These loans are designed to support further education and training, with repayment only starting once you’re earning above a certain threshold. Please note that for undergraduate study, students would need to apply for a student loan instead.
