Course Structure

Unit 1: Schools and Colleges as Organisations

Understand the structure, ethos, and governance of educational institutions, including the different types of schools and the roles of education professionals.

Unit 2: Support Health and Safety in a Learning Environment

Learn how to assess risk and respond to hazards, ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of pupils and staff in various situations.

Unit 3: Understand How to Safeguard Children and Young People

Explore legislation, policies, and practices to safeguard children, including recognising signs of abuse and responding appropriately to disclosures.

Unit 4: Understand How Children and Young People Develop

Examine physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development from birth to 19 years, and factors that influence this, including transitions and additional needs.

Course Price

Tuition fees for our NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for Supporting Teaching and Learning
are £630 which includes an up front £150 registration fee, payable upon acceptance of a place with us.

We also offer a monthly instalment plan: £150 registration fee followed by 6 monthly payments of £105.

Course Duration
Students are given a 12 month window to complete the course. Typically, students take 3 to 6 months to complete all their assignments.
Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements. However, learners should have:

  • A good level of written English

  • An interest in working with children and young people

  • A commitment to completing independent study

This is a knowledge-only qualification and does not require current or previous work experience in schools.

How will I be assessed?

You’ll complete your work through a series of structured tasks and written reflections, submitted online and marked by a qualified assessor. All assessments are internally assessed and externally quality assured by NCFE.
