In this seminar, experienced occupational therapist, Anna Bradshaw will share insights on promoting motor skill development beyond seating devices. The focus is empowering children to explore their environment and engage in physical activities for motor skill growth.
Anna will discuss the limitations of excessive seating device use and highlight the importance of active exploration. Strategies for caregivers and educators to support motor and functional skill development will be explored, including creating safe and stimulating environments and selecting appropriate seats or high chairs for engagement in fine motor tasks and feeding. The seminar provides practical knowledge and strategies to help children embrace movement, supporting their motor skill development and overall well-being.
