This seminar focuses on the importance of attachment in child development, as well as the theory and stages of attachment. The seminar aims to look into ways how to support parents in understanding the ways in which attachment can impact their relationship with their child.
During the session, participants will learn about the four stages of attachment and reciprocal relationships. The seminar will also cover common barriers to bonding and attachment, such as postpartum depression, trauma, and cultural differences, and provide strategies for overcoming these barriers.
In addition, it will provide signposting for help and support for parents who may be struggling with attachment and bonding, including resources for therapy, support groups, and parenting classes. By the end of the session, participants will have a deeper understanding of attachment theory and its practical implications for parenting, as well as tools and resources to support them in building strong, healthy attachments with their children.
