All babies and children from time to time will experience some form of anxiety. It is vital that we know how to best support young children in managing and understanding their emotions. This workshop will provide learners with an understanding of the impact anxiety can have on young children. Learners will be provided with an insight into the definition and concepts of anxiety and the signs and symptoms that may indicate a child is struggling with anxiety.
You will learn to recognise significant behaviours children display that could be communicating feelings of anxiety and discuss effective self-help strategies. Learners will be provided with information on how to gain additional guidance from multi-agency professionals on how best to support children, who display anxiety-related behaviours. The importance of self-care for parents, carers and professionals will also be discussed.
Venue: Virtual classroom
The virtual classroom allows for a live training experience, with participants joining remotely.
